A glorious site to camp here at Condie Reservoir is Cub River Canyon Guest Ranch, and whitewater paddling is fine on Bear River. All the outdoors exciting things close to Condie Reservoir will keep you coming back time and again. The friendly people of Logan like to hang out close by, and Preston Golf & Country Club is a golf course close by. Camping is available at High Creek Campground, and get covered with water paddling on Bear River. This is a magnificent

| | area for people who like lakes. Strongarm Reservoir Number One is a lake in close proximity, and a pleasant close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LOGAN.

At Condie Reservoir through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are
in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Condie Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Treasureton Reservoir is near Condie Reservoir; why not take a refreshing hike along the High Line Trail.

We floated the Wayland Hot Springs to the Weston Bridge. You cannot put in downriver from the Highway 91 bridge anymore. However you can cross the highway and park and put in at the Riverside RV and trailer park. They have a boat ramp and a great place to camp. About a half mile above Squaw Hotsprings, a fence has been hung across the river, watch out that you don't snag your head, duck! After that there really is no obstructions until you get to the diverson about 2 miles above the Weston Bridge. Run this right down the middle.
This is a great family float and a nice flat part of the river for beginners.... |
Bloomington Lake Trail

...ton Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs.
There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge. Your can travel north or south with the south direction being the most spectacular The Highline Trail is popular with hikers, horses, mountain bikers, ATV's and motorcycles.
