Stay the night at Fir Creek Campground, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Brundage Mountain since you're here. Get covered with water paddling on Marsh Creek, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Blue Bunch Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the       Sawtooth Range. Float down the rapids of Salmon River - Middle Fork in a kayak; going for a hike on the Camptender Trail is always a great adventure. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back again and again. Collie Lake is a good place of typical rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is when it's the driest. Lola Creek Campground is a good campground nearby; the peak of Cape Horn                  Mountain can be made out from Collie Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Collie Lake, you could stop at Huffman Creek, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Bear Valley Creek Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Collie Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's.
