Throughout the summertime at Cocolalla Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Cocolalla Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Any time is a great time at Cocolalla Lake if you go for the outdoors. Near Cocolalla Lake you find the Leiberg-Athol       Trail which is a great hiking trail, and a day on the slopes of Schweitzer is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Sandy Beach Resort is a pleasant local campground, and Round Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Go for a hike on the English Point National Recreation Trail, and if you get bored of Cocolalla Lake you could also have a look at nearby Heath Lake. Take a side tour to Butler Creek, and you'll meet a lot of people from Coeur d'Alene                  here. Going for a hike on the Green Mountain Trail is always a nice adventure, and a good nearby hotel is Inn At Sand Creek. If you come at the right time of year, Pack River offers some nice whitewater, and if you need a location to stay La Quinta Inn Sandpoint is a nice choice. From a rainfall point of view Cocolalla Lake is a reasonably normal site; December is the month that gets the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
