Clay Bottom Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. Do set aside some time for Piute Basin since you're here at Clay Bottom Reservoir, and get covered with water paddling on Deep Creek. Going for a hike on the Forty-Four Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and a good close by hotel is Hillside Motor Inn. For the duration of the summertime at Clay Bottom Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime

| | comes with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Clay Bottom Reservoir temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Grasshopper Trail; whitewater paddling is good on Owyhee River - East Fork. Clay Bottom Reservoir is a location that is relatively arid frequently; through the month of November you get the most rain around here; July is the month with the least moisture.
