Chimney Lake is a lake worth visiting. Why not camp at Fog Mountain Campground while you're here at Chimney Lake, and Chimney Creek is close to Chimney Lake and is always a pleasure to visit. Chimney Lake is located in the Clearwater Mountains. Go for a hike on the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail, and Lochsa River has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by.

| | so wonderful. If you want to visit some out of the ordinary stuff, visit Flea Ridge Point, and perfect hiking is available along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. And that's not all there is to do here in the Clearwater Mountains. There are brilliant spots to look at along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail, and a glorious location to camp here at Chimney Lake is Gedney Creek Campground.

tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Chimney Lake are in the 20's.
Chimney Lake is a good place of common rainfall; during January this area sees the most snow; July is when it's the driest.
