Beautiful Chilcoot Lake has much to offer visitors. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Chilcoot Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 30's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Chilcoot Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Ice Hole Campground, and you can run the rapids of Johnson Creek.
But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Chilcoot Lake. Chilcoot Peak is clearly visible from Chilcoot Lake, and a splendid place is Chilcoot Pass. From a precipitation point of view Chilcoot Lake is a reasonably typical place;
all through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is the month with the least moisture.
