     This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chilcoot Lake; McClure Trail is a perfect local trail. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Chilcoot Lake; January is the wettest month with most snow; the driest month of the year is July. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A nice place to have a look at near Chilcoot Lake is Chilcoot Pass; if the weather is wonderful, you acquire a great panorama of Chilcoot  
   Peak from Chilcoot Lake.
You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Salmon River Mountains. Upper Trapper Flat is a magnificent place to check out; there's tremendous hiking along the Buck Creek Trail. Camping is available at Twin Bridges Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Johnson Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Brundage Mountain, and Ashley Inn is a nice
 
               site to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. Pistol Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and why not camp at Ice Hole Campground if you're here at Chilcoot Lake. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Chilcoot Lake reach the 70's with night lows in the 30's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chilcoot Lake. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Salmon River Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Indian Creek Trail; since you're here, you could also take a look at gorgeous Black Lake.
