You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not camp at Powerplant Campground if you're here at Chickadee Lake, and a quick trip to Timpa Creek is positively a glorious idea. Summer at Chickadee Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Chickadee Lake. Chickadee       Lake is right by the Yuba River Trail; Surprise Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Bull Moose Trail is great fun; Salmon River is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Sawtooth Range. A lake nearby is Timpa Lake; from Chickadee Lake you get a great vista of Plummer Peak. Chickadee Lake is located in the Sawtooth Range. Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is                  a very popular ski area close at hand; Queens River Campground is a nice local campground. Just can't get enough of the Sawtooth Range. Going for a hike along the Black Warrior Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
