This lake is located in the wonderful Sawtooth Range. The Black Warrior Creek Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Chickadee Lake; you're perhaps interested in lakes, Elk Lake is one of those close by. So many cool things to do here in the Sawtooth Range, too tremendous to be true. A day on the slopes of Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is just what you need, and Chickadee Lake is a wonderful place       to visit for more than one day, Powerplant Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby. From a rainfall point of view Chickadee Lake is a relatively typical place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. A delightful site for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Chickadee Lake is Salmon River, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Yuba River Trail. This lake is so wonderful.                  There's some flowing water nearby, Timpa Creek is a stream you can explore while you're here, and Plummer Peak can be seen from Chickadee Lake. All year is a good time in the Sawtooth Range if you go for the outdoors. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Chickadee Lake. If the weather is great here at Chickadee Lake, you can go for a hike along the Bull Moose Trail, and you can stay the night at Queens River Campground. Throughout the summertime months at Chickadee Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's.
