     If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wilson River, and not far from Cheatgrass Reservoir you'll stumble on Don Reservoir which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Tumbleweed Reservoir is a lake that's next to Cheatgrass Reservoir. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Cheatgrass Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into  
   the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Cheatgrass Reservoir during the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 10's. Not much rain falls here at Cheatgrass Reservoir; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest of the months is July.
Snake River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by, and dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Burley.
