     Through the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Challis Creek Lakes, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows during the wintertime for Challis Creek Lakes tend to be in the-10's. There's wonderful hiking along the Twin Buttes Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Challis Creek Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Mill Creek Campground. It is very dried up here  
   at Challis Creek Lakes regularly; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little visit to Challis Creek Dam if you're here at Challis Creek Lakes, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Camas Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the vicinity of Challis Creek Lakes. If you need a place to stay SnowRun by

A gorgeous lake like Spruce Gulch Lake near Challis Creek Lakes is a tremendous place to check out, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - Yankee Fork. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains.
