     Chain Lakes is always a pleasure to visit. A wonderful nearby hotel is Teton Valley Cabins, and Squirrel Creek Guest Ranch and Inn is a fine local campground. Chain Lakes is commonly a rather dried out place; January is when you get the most snow here, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling near Chain Lakes is Falls River; going for a hike on the Poacher Trail is always a delightful adventure.
 
   So many fun things to do at Chain Lakes, so little time. If you need a location to stay Teton Mountain View Lodge is a delightful choice, and close by you hit upon the West Boundary Trail which is a great hiking trail. For the period of the summer months at Chain Lakes temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Chain Lakes are in the 0's. It's always  
               fine to have a look at Buggy Spring; get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Bitch Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Cave Falls Campground since you're here at Chain Lakes, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the De Coster Trail. The wonderful people of Jackson like to hang out nearby; perfect skiing awaits you at Grand Targhee.
