    Cedar Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Cedar Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range. Cedar Lake truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. There's good hiking along the Cedar Mountain Trail; the snow is fine at Lookout Pass. A normal amount of rain falls here at Cedar Lake; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest of the months is July.
The warmest time of the year at Cedar Lake comes with
 
   high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Cedar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Lookout Pass is near Cedar Lake. There's so much to do here at Cedar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Squaw Creek Campground is a tremendous site for that. From Cedar Lake you obtain a tremendous view of Cedar  
               Mountain, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon.
This location, the Bitterroot Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Arid Ridge Trail, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on St. Joe River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. So many cool things to do in the Bitterroot Range, not enough time. The Trego Point Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Stardust Motel.
Best Western Wallace Inn is a fine place to get some rest, and if you came to camp Packsaddle Campground is a splendid spot to do that.
