So much cool stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range, not sufficient time. Camping is available at Packsaddle Campground. This place, the Bitterroot Range, has so much outdoors fun things. Camping at Squaw Creek Campground is always a magnificent experience; going for a hike on the Arid Ridge Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range.       Gotta ski! Lookout Pass is a splendid site to do that, and a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is St. Joe River - North Fork. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Cedar Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Cedar Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. From Cedar Lake you acquire                  a glorious vista of Cedar Mountain, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Trego Point Trail. Cedar Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is when it's the driest. A great nearby hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Kellogg, and the Cedar Mountain Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. This place, Cedar Lake, it just has so much outdoors cool stuff.
