Many people like to go to Caton Lake. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Near Caton Lake you hit upon the Indian Creek Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail; camping at Ice Hole Campground is always a great experience. This location, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. North Fork Riordan Creek is close to Caton Lake and is always a diversion to visit, and going for a hike on the Buck Creek Trail is always

After a long day outdoors Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a good spot to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, Johnson Creek offers some splendid whitewater. A common amount of rain falls here at Caton Lake; January is when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Caton Lake? Riordan Lake is nearby, and if you came to camp Golden Gate Campground is a perfect location to do that. Be careful coming to Caton Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. The Big Chief Creek Trail is
a wonderful hiking trail close to Caton Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. At Caton Lake through the summer months
highs are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Caton Lake during the winter ordinarily dip into the 0's. Nearby lakes? Sure, Meadow Creek Lake is right next door to Caton Lake, and everyone close by loves skiing at Brundage Mountain.
