Cat Lakes is located in the Sawtooth Range. Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop at Red Mountain Lakes in close proximity to Cat Lakes, and why not camp at Sack Creek Campground while you're here at Cat Lakes. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawtooth Range. Near Cat Lakes you find the Blue Bunch Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Ashley Inn is a glorious location to get some rest. This lake       is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Bear Valley Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Bear Valley Campground is a fine site to camp. So much exciting stuff to do at Cat Lakes, so little time. If the weather is brilliant here at Cat Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Kirkham Ridge Trail; a stunning lake like Lost Lakes is a tremendous place to pop by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Cat Lakes. Summer                  night lows plunge down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Cat Lakes tend to be in the 10's. All the outdoors cool things in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back again and again. The Camptender Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Cat Lakes. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Payette River - South Fork; Red Mountain is clearly visible from Cat Lakes.
