This lake is so wonderful. Here at Castle Lake you can spot Merriam Peak, and everyone close by loves skiing at Sun Valley. It is very waterless here at Castle Lake typically; most of the snow falls through December, and the driest of the months is July. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's       for you then we recommend Salmon River, and a pleasant journey to Chamberlain Basin is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Castle Lake. A cool spot to pop by in close proximity to Castle Lake is Castle Peak, and if you came for an overnight stay Holman Creek Campground is a splendid location to camp. For the period of the summer highs here at Castle Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down                  to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Castle Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Baker Lake; there's delightful hiking along the Yellow Belly Trail. Prairie Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and Noisy Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at.
