It's always fun to stop by Castle Lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Castle Lake is excellent! Chamberlain Basin is a nice spot. There's so much to do here at Castle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Prairie Campground is a pleasant place for that. Here at Castle Lake you can distinguish Merriam Peak, and you can run the rapids of Salmon River - Yankee Fork. Looking for some flowing water? Try Slickenside Creek; get your pulse

After a long day outdoors Clarion Inn Ketchum is a tremendous place to spend a night or two; hiking along the Yellow Belly Trail is splendid fun. Baker Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Castle Lake has to offer, you can camp at Holman Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Not much rainfall falls here at Castle Lake; the month with most of the snow is December, and the driest month of the year is July. The warmest time of the year at Castle Lake comes with high temperatures in the
70's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 30's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Castle Lake during the winter mostly plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
Skiing at Sun Valley is one of those things you just have to do, and don't leave Castle Lake without first checking out Castle Peak.
