Casino Lakes is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Rough Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to, and there are pleasant places to explore along the Bull Moose Trail. Sun Valley is a very popular ski area around here. Casino Lakes is mostly a quite dried out site; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow while July is frequently the driest month.
If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you

can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River, and if you came to camp Mormon Bend Campground is a great place to do that. Through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Casino Lakes, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 20's while Casino Lakes nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. Don't leave Casino Lakes without first going for a hike along the Yellow Belly Trail. There's
so much to do here at Casino Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Basin Creek Campground is a good place for that.
