If you are in Boundary county it's always a good idea to stop by Canyon Lake. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Schweitzer. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Canyon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Plowboy Campground. Paddling on Boundary Creek is so much fun, and don't leave Canyon Lake without first going for a hike along the Hall Mountain Trail. Smith Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Stay the night at Dirt Oven Campground, and you can go for a hike on the White Mountain Trail. Canyon Lake is commonly a relatively waterless spot; most of the rain falls during November; July is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Canyon Lake through the months of summer are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Canyon Lake through the wintertime usually dip into the 10's.
