And that's not all you can do here at Canyon Lake. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Schweitzer. Take a hike on the Hall Mountain Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Boundary Creek offers some good whitewater. You'll stumble on a charming lake called Long Mountain Lake near Canyon Lake; Canyon Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Plowboy Campground is a       magnificent location to camp nearby. Not much rain falls here at Canyon Lake; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Smith Creek in a kayak, and Dirt Oven Campground is a great local campground. Through the warm days of summer here at Canyon Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. Daytime highs through                  the winter are in the 30's; nighttime lows at Canyon Lake all through the wintertime generally drop into the 10's.
