Idaho has many beautiful lakes and California Lake is one of them. All year is a good time in the Salmon River Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. California Lake is a great site to camp, Chinook Campground is a great site, and Kelly Meadows is a beautiful place any time of year. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Western Mountain Lodge is a fine spot to spend a night

Summertime highs at California Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows at California Lake throughout the wintertime typically dip into the 20's. Trail is always a great adventure. You'll need more than a day to explore everything California Lake has to offer, you can camp at Burgdorf Campground.
If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to California
Lake. Near California Lake you come across the Box Lake Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Secesh River. California Lake gets very little rain; May is the month that gets
the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Sand Creek is a great place to have a look at; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Crestline Trail.
