This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Rock Lakes is nearby, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Camas Creek. What a location this is for outdoors people. Going for a hike on the South Fork Trail is always a magnificent adventure. There are other locations here than Cache Creek Lakes, for example West Fork Lakes;       if you come at the right time of year, Loon Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. You get a good sight of Sleeping Deer Mountain from Cache Creek Lakes. There's so much to do here at Cache Creek Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Rock Creek Campground is a good place for that. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Throughout the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Cache Creek Lakes; the night                  is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while Cache Creek Lakes night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Salmon River Mountains has to offer. There are nice places to look at along the Waterfall Trail.
