For the duration of the summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Butch Reservoir. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Butch Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Butch Reservoir gets very little rainfall; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and       July meanwhile is the driest month. Go for a hike on the Rough Trail, and there's whitewater on Owyhee River - South Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Butch Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Red Trail, and you'll find a pretty lake called Inside Reservoir.
