If you are in Boundary county it's always a good idea to stop by Bussard Lake. Bussard Lake is a location that is quite dehydrated mostly; most of the rain falls throughout November, and the driest month is July. Sandpoint Super 8 Motel is a tremendous site to get some rest. The Sidehill Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Bussard Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a tremendous choice.

This place rules, just look at all the cool stuff to do right next door to Bussard Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Kootenai in a kayak, and why not take a little trip to Bussard Creek since you're
here. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Bussard Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Bussard Lake.
