Bussard Lake gets very little rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Go for a hike on the Rutledge Creek Trail, and some close by water includes Bussard Creek. Stay the night at Robinson Lake Campground; nearby you discover the Queen Mountain Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. Man, is there a lot of cool stuff to do in close proximity       to Bussard Lake. Going for a hike on the Sidehill Trail is always a nice adventure, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANDPOINT NORTH is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Moyie River. There's whitewater on Kootenai for all you adrenaline people. There's so much to do here                  at Bussard Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Copper Creek Campground is a good spot for that. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Bussard Lake reach the 80's; the overnight is quite colder of course, usually in the 50's.
