Buckhorn Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Buckhorn Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most while July is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Buckhorn Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Fork Campground is a splendid location for that; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on

| | Secesh River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Through the long summer days at Buckhorn Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Buckhorn Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. to spend a night or two; Buckhorn Hot Spring is a perfect local attraction. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Going for a hike on the Buckhorn Trail is always a great adventure, and there are other
locations here than Buckhorn Lake, for example Buckhorn Mountain Lake. There is a fine hiking trail near Buckhorn Lake called the South Fork Buckhorn Trail; Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a good location to get some rest. Buckhorn Lake really
is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. If the weather is beautiful, you obtain a good view of Nick Peak from Buckhorn Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Buckhorn Lake has to offer, you can camp at
Kennally Creek Campground. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. On a magnificent day at Buckhorn Lake you can take a hike along the Kennally Creek Trail; Salmon River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot close by.
