High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Buck Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. Just can't get enough of Buck Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Moose Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and Buck Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than       one day, Bridge Creek Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby. Good hiking is available along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail, and a great place to take a look at is Drake Saddle. Be careful coming to the Clearwater Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Float down the rapids of Selway River in a kayak. Yeah, come up here to the Clearwater Mountains for a great time. Drake Creek flows through this area, and Cedar Flats Campground                  is a magnificent local campground. Nearby lakes? Sure, Fawn Lake is in the vicinity of Buck Lake; don't leave Buck Lake without first going for a hike along the Nez Perce Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes. Highline Lakes is a lake around here, and you can go for a hike on the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
