Buck Lake is a nice lake to visit. Summertime highs at Buck Lake generally tend to be in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Buck Lake sink into the 20's. Buck Lake is a location that is pretty waterless commonly; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount

| | of precipitation. Go for a hike on the Broken Leg Trail; camping at Buck Lake is glorious fun, Hazard Campground is a glorious local campground. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So many amusing things in the Salmon River Mountains, just incredible. State Campground Recreation Site is a great campground here; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hard Creek. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Some close by water includes Hyatt Creek, and Hazard Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. And that's not everything you can do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Don't leave Buck Lake without first going for a
hike along the Crestline Trail. You truly must have a thing about Buck Lake. Going for a hike on the Lava Butte Trail is always a great adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Western Mountain Lodge. Don't leave Buck Lake without first paying a visit to Hazard Falls; Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a nice location to get some rest.
