If you are in Idaho county it's always a good idea to stop by Brown Lake. Brown Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; January is when you get the most snow here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the summer at Brown Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Brown Lake. This lake is so wonderful.

| | The Nez Perce Trail is a delightful hiking trail close to Brown Lake, and you can stay the night at Bruin Creek Campground.
The top of Center Mountain is easily spotted from Brown Lake, and Bear Point is close at hand and always tremendous to stop by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in close proximity to Brown Lake has to offer. for a hike on the Chamberlain Trail is always a good adventure. There's so much to do here at Brown Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Corey Bar Campground is a glorious location for that.
So much enjoyable stuff to
do in the Clearwater Mountains, not enough time. Near Brown Lake you discover the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail which is a good hiking trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Selway River. This lake is located in the wonderful Clearwater Mountains.
