A visit to Brooks Lake is always a good idea. If you came for an overnight stay Dirt Oven Campground is a brilliant location to camp; there's some flowing water close by, Beehive Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay. Throughout the warm months at Brooks Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are typically in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here

Brooks Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the month with most of the snow is December; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Smith Creek, and on a
perfect day you can take a hike along the White Mountain Trail. Indian Creek Campground is a glorious campground here; if you need a location to stay Sandpoint Super 8 Motel is a glorious choice.
