     Braxon Lake is a nice lake to visit. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sawtooth Range. You can run the rapids of Salmon River next to Braxon Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. A brilliant site for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Braxon Lake is Salmon River; why not camp at Iron Creek Campground while you're here at Braxon Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Clarion Inn Ketchum, and while  
   you're here you can take a hike along the Black Warrior Creek Trail.
Braxon Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawtooth Range. That right there is a lot of fun things already but it goes on, the Sawtooth Range has it all. Camping at Braxon Lake is great fun, Point Campground is a great local campground; one of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Braxon Lake is Baron Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Bull Moose Trail, and almost certainly
 
               you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Alpine Lake is just a very short distance away.
Braxon Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year at Braxon Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Braxon Lake. Baron Creek Falls is a pretty site to stop by while you're at Braxon Lake, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Yellow Belly Trail.
