This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Salmon River, and you can stay the night at Iron Creek Campground. A lake close by is Bead Lakes; hiking along the Yellow Belly Trail is nice fun. A normal amount of rain falls here at Braxon Lake; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in the vicinity of Braxon Lake.       You'll need more than a day to look at everything Braxon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Point Campground, of course you could also have a look at Alpine Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Yeah, come up here to the Sawtooth Range for a wonderful time. Get soaked paddling on Salmon River; going for a hike along the Black Warrior Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. All through the summertime                  at Braxon Lake highs are typically in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Braxon Lake. The Sawtooth Range scenery is always beautiful. Take a hike on the Bull Moose Trail; a great nearby hotel is Greyhawk by ResortQuest. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back repeatedly.
