Going for a hike on the Reed Bar Trail is always a great adventure, and a fine place for whitewater paddling is Clearwater River - South Fork. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the neighborhood of Brandon Lakes will keep you coming back many times. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Brandon Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Wildhorse Lake Campground, and there are great places to look at along the Nellie Mountain       Trail. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Clearwater Mountains. Brandon Lakes is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, California Creek Bar Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby; SUPER 8 MOTEL - GRANGEVILLE is a great place to get some rest. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is plentiful here in the Clearwater Mountains. Salmon River - South Fork is a nice whitewater spot in the vicinity of Brandon Lakes, and if                  you get bored of Brandon Lakes you could also go to close by Horseshoe Lake. Quartzite Butte can be seen from Brandon Lakes; Brandon Lakes is not the only location close by, Hurst Lake is a close by lake. Some of the water close by flows, like Brandon Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Pilot Knob Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Clearwater Mountains. Around Brandon Lakes you don’t get a lot of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 80's at Brandon Lakes. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's.
