Summertime highs at Boyd Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Boyd Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Boyd Lake, you'll hit upon Corky Lake which is a beautiful lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Sand Creek offers some great whitewater.

to have a look at; camping at Bear Creek Pass Campground is always a glorious experience. Gotta ski! Lost Trail is a great spot to do that, and Boyd Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Schumaker Campground is a pleasant local campground.
