The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Boyd Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Boyd Lake, you'll hit upon Corky Lake which is a beautiful lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Sand Creek offers some great whitewater.       The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. Boyd Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Bitterroot Range. Lakes are magnificent; Big Sand Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Boyd Lake; what would a site like Boyd Lake be without out of the ordinary close by traits                  like Dead Elk Point. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do next to Boyd Lake. There are some delightful whitewater spots on White Sand Creek. Chute Creek is in close proximity to Boyd Lake and is always a pleasure to have a look at; camping at Bear Creek Pass Campground is always a glorious experience. Gotta ski!
