    Box Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Box Lake is pretty dried out frequently; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is July. North Beach is near Box Lake if you're in a beach type of mood, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Payette River - North Fork. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Take a hike on the Box Lake  
   Trail, and at Box Lake you can observe Beaverdam Peak.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Box Lake, you could also go to wonderful Brush Lake; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Crestline Trail. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Box Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's while Box Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.
 
               This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. After a long day outdoors Western Mountain Lodge is a great site to spend a night or two; going for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a brilliant choice; if you came for an overnight stay Black Lee Campground is a wonderful place to camp.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Box Lake. There's some interesting stuff to see at Box Lake Dam near Box Lake; Lake Fork Campground is a splendid campground here.
