Bowknot Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawtooth Range. Go for a hike on the Yuba River Trail, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Twin Lakes is just a very short distance away. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Sawtooth Range. On a delightful day you obtain a sight of Parks Peak from Bowknot Lake; why not head up to Soldier Mountain Ski Resort and strap some skis to your feet.

a good hiking trail, and a wonderful place to camp here at Bowknot Lake is Alturas Inlet Campground.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawtooth Range. Going for a hike on the Yellow Belly Trail is always a magnificent adventure;
camping is available at Smoky Bear Campground. The warmest time of the year at Bowknot Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bowknot Lake.
