    It's always fun to stop by Boulder Lake. So much amusing stuff in the Salmon River Mountains, just remarkable. There are other places here than Boulder Lake, for example Shaw Twin Lakes, and dry warm beds await you at Mccall Super 8 Lodge. So many amusing things to do at Boulder Lake, so little time. A brilliant view of lovely Boulder Mountain is available from Boulder Lake, and delightful hiking is available along the Boulder Driveway Trail. Boulder Lake gets  
   a common amount of yearly rainfall; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here while July is regularly the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Payette River - North Fork, and you can go for a hike on the Boulder Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Paddy Flat Lake Fork Trail, and not far from Boulder Lake you'll locate Shaw Twin Lakes Upper which
 
               is a lovely lake.
Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Salmon River Mountains. Boulder Lake Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Boulder Lake has to offer, you can camp at Paddy Flat Campground. If you need a place to stay AmericInn McCall is a great choice, and you can stay the night at Lake Fork Campground. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Boulder Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Boulder Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
Boulder Lake is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains.

The trail to Blackmare Lake is in very poor shape. The fire last year weakened the trees and the wind took down many of them. There are several 24-36' logs across the trail preventing horse travel. Hikers can make the trek, but expect to be climbing over a lot of down timber. The trails themselves are not terrible, but they are very loose with decomposed granite sand.
The other big problem with the trail is that past the signs at the first bridge, there is absolutely no direction as to where the trails will take you or how far you are along the trails. ...
