Bonner Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Bonner Lake gets very little precipitation; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Bonner Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Meadow Creek Campground is a magnificent local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Leonia Trail. Bonner Lake is right by the Gable Creek Trail.

Perkins Lake; a splendid place to camp here at Bonner Lake is Smith Lake Campground. A great place for whitewater paddling close to Bonner Lake is Kootenai, and a brilliant close by hotel is Sandpoint Super 8 Motel.
There's some
flowing water close by, Sand Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay; if you need a place to stay Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a fine choice. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moyie River; the Burro Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best.
