Bonanza Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Bonanza Lake is not far at all from Pocatello, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Snake River. Camping is available at Massacre Rocks State Park, and lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by American Falls Reservoir. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Bonanza Lake. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's,

| | and overnight lows at Bonanza Lake during the wintertime generally fall into the 10's. There are other spots here than Bonanza Lake, for example Morgans Waterhole. Not much rain falls here at Bonanza Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Janies Nipples is clearly visible from Bonanza Lake, and why not camp at Indian Springs Swimming and RV while you're here at Bonanza Lake.
