You'll need more than a day to discover everything Blue Lake has to offer, you can camp at K O A Kampgrounds, and at Blue Lake you always meet someone from Coeur d'Alene. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. At Blue Lake throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's, and night lows during the winter for Blue Lake tend to be in the 20's. stay Red Horse Mountain Ranch is a tremendous choice. There are other sites here than Blue Lake, for example Swan Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, St. Maries River offers some great whitewater.
This lake is so
wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Black Lake is close by, and brilliant hiking is available along the English Point National Recreation Trail. You can observe Lamb Peak from Blue Lake, and La Quinta Inn AND Suites Coeur D'Alene East is a perfect spot to get some rest.

Coeur D' Alene KOA

This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on wolf bay. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around.... |
