Blacktail Lake is a nice lake to visit. One of the dominant characteristics of the surroundings of Blacktail Lake is Moose Mountain, and you can stay the night at Porcupine Lake Campground. The Cabinet Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you need a site to stay Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a tremendous choice, and Moose Lake is a good lake nearby. Going for a hike on the North Fork Trail is always a good adventure, and Kootenai has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by.
