    Blacktail Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The Cabinet Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Don't leave Blacktail Lake without first going for a hike along the Shertz Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Blacktail Lake has to offer, you can camp at East Fork Public Campground. Around Blacktail Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through November while July is mostly the driest  
   month.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the North Fork Trail is always a good adventure, and Moose Mountain is beautiful and can be seen from here. Be careful coming to the Cabinet Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Pack River. Go for a hike on the Alpine Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Kootenai.

               you need a place to stay Clark Fork Lodge is a splendid choice, and you'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Gem Lake. All through the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Blacktail Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Blacktail Lake descend into the 20's. This place, Blacktail Lake, it truly has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Hotel Hope is a nice spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Blacktail Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Porcupine Lake Campground is a delightful spot for that.
