Do visit Fivemile Lake near Blackstone Reservoir, it's a scenic lake, and the Tindall Trail offers hiking at its best. Blackstone Reservoir is typically a rather dried out place; most of the rain falls through November; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Strickland Dam has good water scenery and       it's close to Blackstone Reservoir, and do take a hike on the Batt Trail. High temperatures at Blackstone Reservoir through the summer are in the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Blackstone Reservoir dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Whitewater paddling is great on Bruneau River; since you're here, you could also stop by charming Monument Lake. You'll                  wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Blackstone Reservoir.
