This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is glorious here at Black Lake, you can go for a hike along the Crestline Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Payette River - North Fork offers some good whitewater. Going for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and a day at wonderful Sylvan Beach next to Black Lake is a great thing to do. The Salmon River Mountains scenery       is always beautiful. Around Black Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; through May this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Fork Campground is a nice spot for that, and a pleasant close by hotel is Mccall Super 8 Lodge. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. You could also                  take a look at Blackwell Lake while you're here at Black Lake; it's nearby, and time spent at North Beach is always perfect. This place, Black Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. If you need a site to stay Western Mountain Lodge is a good choice; you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Box Lake Trail. At Black Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Black Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Having a good time in the Salmon River Mountains is uncomplicated.
