There's glorious hiking along the English Point National Recreation Trail, and Red Horse Mountain Ranch is a magnificent location to get some rest. At Black Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows       in the 20's overnight here at Black Lake. There are other places here than Black Lake, for example Blue Lake. Lakes? Sure, Swan Lake is in the neighborhood. Black Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Beauty Creek Campground is a good spot to camp nearby, and St. Maries River is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Black Lake; White Pine Scenic Drive is                  a great local trail; Black Lake is not far at all from Coeur d'Alene. But wait, there's more to do next to Black Lake. Don't leave Black Lake without first going for a hike along the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail, and Rainy Hill Campground is a pleasant local campground.
