A visit to Black Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Hard Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. After a long day outdoors Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hazard Campground is a good place for that. This lake is one of the

| | great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Not much rainfall falls here at Black Lake; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month of the year is July. If you came to camp Allison Creek Campground is a great site to do that; the peak of Hard Butte can be made out from Black Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Warm Springs Saddle is in close proximity to Black Lake and is undeniably a splendid site to pop by, and if you need a place to stay | |

Western Mountain Lodge is a good choice. Just can't get enough of the Salmon River Mountains. Don't forget to take a splendid little trip to Vance Creek, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Lava Butte Trail. And if
that's not enough there's lots more cool things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Near Black Lake you locate the Crestline Trail which is a delightful hiking trail; if you get bored of Black Lake you could also visit close by Eden
Lake. Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Hazard Creek; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Broken Leg Trail. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Black Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures
dip down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Black Lake.
