Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's; night lows at Black Lake through the winter mostly descend into the 20's. Black Lake gets very little rain; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Warm Springs Saddle is near Black Lake and is a magnificent place, and close by you       locate the Crestline Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Black Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lava Butte Trail, and if you've had enough of Black Lake, Eden Lake is nearby. Yeah, come here to Black Lake for a fine time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Hazard Creek, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Vance Creek. There are some                  delightful whitewater spots on Hard Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Salmon River Mountains has to offer. Camping at Allison Creek Campground is always a great experience, and Hard Butte can be seen from Black Lake. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mccall-The Hunt Lodge, Id is a perfect choice; the Broken Leg Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Having a great time in the Salmon River Mountains is trouble-free. Nearby lakes?
