Black Canyon Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. Around Black Canyon Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; December is the month that gets the most snow while July is frequently the driest month. From Black Canyon Reservoir you obtain a good sight of Little Butte, and nearby you stumble on Cherry Gulch which is a great spot to explore. You'll meet a lot of people from Boise City-Nampa here, and obviously, this is a tremendous neighborhood for people who like lakes,

| | Bettis Reservoir is a lake close at hand. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Black Canyon Reservoir, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. at everything Black Canyon Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Emmett Valley Recreational Vehicle Park.
