The vicinity where Birdbill Lake is, is dominated by the Bighorn Crags, and there are splendid places to discover along the Waterfall Trail. Get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Panther Creek, and from Birdbill Lake you obtain a wonderful sight of Bighorn Crags. Any time is a good time at Birdbill Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. A nice site to camp       here at Birdbill Lake is Crags Campground, and going for a hike on the Ship Island Trail is always a pleasant adventure. All year is a pleasant time in the Salmon River Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. There are other locations here than Birdbill Lake, for example Heart Lake. Birdbill Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly June, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. Camping at Yellowjacket                  Campground is always a great experience; you can go for a hike on the Clear Creek Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. So many fun things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too wonderful to be true. There's whitewater on Camas Creek for all you adrenaline people, and not far from Birdbill Lake you'll locate Airplane Lake which is a pretty lake. All through the summer months highs here at Birdbill Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's.
