Big Bend Campground is a great campground nearby, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Bruneau River - West Fork. Billings Reservoir is not the only location close by, Scott Table Reservoir is a close by lake. Billings Reservoir is a location that is rather dried out usually; the month of May is the wettest with       most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bruneau River - West Fork, and hiking along the Triguero Trail is glorious fun. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Billings Reservoir is a good site to visit for more than one day, Gold Creek Public Campgrounds is a good site to camp nearby; not far from Billings Reservoir you get some good water scenery                  at Billings Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Batt Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and a lake nearby is Black Leg Reservoir. At Billings Reservoir throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's.
