The Roaring River Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close to Big Rainbow Lake, and if you've had enough of Big Rainbow Lake, Middle Rainbow Lake is close by. Boise River - North Fork has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Trinity Mountain is beautiful and can be seen from here. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Little Trinity Lake Campground is always a great experience;       Sleep Inn Mountain Home is a delightful place to get some rest. There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Big Rainbow Lake called the Devils Creek Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boise River - South Fork. An average amount of rain falls at Big Rainbow Lake; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is when it's the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a                  day to enjoy all the fun things at Big Rainbow Lake. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Heart Lake is one of those close by; going for a hike on the Hot Springs Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. All through the months of summer at Big Rainbow Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Big Rainbow Lake sink into the 10's.
