A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Big Pool; the month with most of the snow is December; July is the month with the least moisture. That right there is a load of cool things already but it goes on, the Bitterroot Range has it all. Camping is available at Big Hank Campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Spyglass Miners Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. Sure, Long Pool is close to Big Pool, and drift down the rapids of Couer d'Alene River - Big North Fork in a kayak. Be careful coming to the Bitterroot Range, you might not ever wanna return home again. Ash Creek is a striking stream
that is worth visiting, and if you need a site to stay Kellogg Inn is a tremendous choice. Summertime highs at Big Pool regularly tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. For the
duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows at Big Pool during the winter usually fall into the 20's.
