If you like lakes and you're in this part of Idaho you can check out Big Lake. Good hiking is available along the Roberson Trail, and at Big Lake you can observe Twin Butte. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Lake; Tindall Trail is a great local trail, and if you need a spot to stay Oasis Ranch Motel is a good choice. Big Lake is regularly a pretty dried up spot; November is when you get the most rain here; July is when it's the driest. A good location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Big Lake is Bruneau River. There's pleasant hiking along the Cedar Tree Trail, and you can run the rapids of Bruneau River - East Fork.
