A pretty lake like Kenneth Lake right next door to Big Hazard Lake is a glorious place to stop at, and there are some good whitewater spots on Payette River - North Fork. Big Hazard Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Hazard Campground is a good location to camp nearby; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Lava Butte Trail. That right there is a lot of entertaining       things already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. Dry warm beds await you at AmericInn McCall. Big Hazard Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Whitetail Club and Resort is a delightful spot to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Broken Leg Trail is always a good adventure. All through the warm days of summer here at Big Hazard Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 90's while nighttime                  lows are generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Big Hazard Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Big Hazard Lake is a location that is relatively arid commonly; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to the Salmon River Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. Big Dave Creek is near Big Hazard Lake and is always a pleasure to check out, and you can go for a hike on the Crestline Trail. What a location this is for outdoors people.
