Big Creek Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the High Line Trail is always a delightful adventure, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Beaver Mountain. The Bloomington Lake Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close to Big Creek Lake, and do visit Blue Lake, it's a lovely lake. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do in the Wasatch Range. Bloomington Lake Trail
 | ...ton Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge.  | The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
