Go to Bernard Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Bernard Lake gets very little rain; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month is July. Brundage Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff, and from Bernard Lake you get a tremendous view of Bernard Mountain. What a place this is for outdoors folks. | | in a kayak, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Porter Creek Trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Rice Lake; Bernard Lake is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Blue Point Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby. night lows in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for Bernard Lake tend to be in the 10's. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains.
There is a good hiking trail near Bernard Lake called the Tyndall Ridge Trail; obviously, this is a great area for people who like lakes, Sheepherder Lake is a lake close at hand. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is bountiful
here in the Salmon River Mountains. Paddling on Deadwood River is so much fun, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Little Beaver Creek Trail.
