If you need a place to stay Red Horse Mountain Ranch is a magnificent choice, and if you come at the right time of year, St. Maries River offers some magnificent whitewater. Benewah Lake is a beautiful lake in the Clearwater Mountains. Here at Benewah Lake you'll probably meet some people from Coeur d'Alene. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Parker Pass is a fine spot to go       if you're at Benewah Lake; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Echo Springs. So many enjoyable things in the Clearwater Mountains, just unbelievable. You could also check out Goose Heaven Lake while you're here at Benewah Lake; it's close by, and going for a hike along the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Benewah Lake                  has to offer. Nearby lakes? Sure, Round Lake is right next door to Benewah Lake, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the White Pine Scenic Drive. An average amount of rain falls at Benewah Lake; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July. Shady River RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the White Pine National Recreation Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Benewah Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Benewah Lake descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Benewah Creek near Benewah Lake is a perfect idea, and La Quinta Inn AND Suites Coeur D'Alene East is a great spot to get some rest.
