A lake close by is Little Grizzly Lake, and One Horn Basin is a nice place. So much exciting stuff close to Bell Lake, truly mind-boggling. If you come at the right time of year, Big Sand Creek offers some good whitewater. There's so much to do here at Bell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Schumaker Campground is a glorious site for that. If you get bored of Bell Lake, you could also       stop by close by Milepost Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend White Sand Creek. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Bell Lake with night lows in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's; nighttime lows at Bell Lake throughout the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 10's. Stay the night at Bear Creek Pass Campground, and do take a hike on the North Route Of                  Old Nez Perce Trail. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. The amount of precipitation that falls at Bell Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the snow is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Old Nez Perce Trail, and a day on the slopes of Lost Trail is just what you need. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is abundant here in the Bitterroot Range.
